I've been meaning to post this for awhile, but the boredom of this week has finally made me do it. I've been thinking about it for awhile and I'm not a fan of the current state of the public education system. I'm trying to get others' thoughts on different forms of education children and why you like them or dislike them. First of all, I can think of 3 types of alternatives for education: 1) private schools, 2) home school, and 3) Montessori schools. If there are more that you can think of, please interject. For private schools, I think you can potentially find a better educational system than public schools. The downside is that it is expensive and there are, IMO, more politics involved in the private school system. Home schooling can be great, but it is time consuming for the parents. Also, it's harder for the kids to get social interaction with peers. Also, school sponsored sports are out of the question, but local leagues are still available.I still think that the Montessori method is a good method. I don't have much experience with it, but from what I've heard about it, I like it. The good thing is that I think it has better social development potential for children. Those are some of my brief thoughts on alternatives to the public education system. What are your thoughts on them?
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
